For 5 years Ron Peterson was the popular Washington, DC, area host ofa radio show on on investment topics. He has written many articles on entrepreneurshipand finance for encyclopedias, magazines, and newspapers and is the authorof an earlier book, Solomon's Riches: A Biblical Guide to Your Investmentsand Wealth. He has lectured on investment topics for the Federal ReserveBank of Richmond, Georgetown University, the University of Maryland, theGeorge Mason University School of Law, and numerous other organizations.He has also taught hedging strategies to personnel of organizations includingthe World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Federal Reserve Board, andExport-Import Bank. 

Ron Peterson holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Minnesotaand has done graduate work at the George Washington and Johns Hopkins Universities,the University of Maryland (biotechnology), and the National Institutesof Health (clinical pharmacology and clinical trials). He also holds aU.S. patent in electronic circuitry.

Location: One-half block south of the Cineplex Odeon Uptownmovie theatre on Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. (There are manyrestaurants suitable for pre- or post-meeting gathering/networking/refreshmentin the block north of the library.)

Several times a year a smaller group (usually about 8 to 12) goes toNanny O'Brien's (directly across the street from the library at 3319 ConnecticutAvenue, NW, 202-686-9189, open 2 pm Saturday to 2 am Sunday) or anotherlocal establishment for continued conversation, networking, and refreshmentfollowing the meeting. (Participants pay for their own beverages and food.)
