How To Get the Results You Want When
You Only Have 30 Seconds To Talk

Personal Coaching for All Attendees!

Workshop Leader: Bob Bailey, Message Builders

  • Get results rather than disappointment at networking events.
  • Attract the people who can help you in your business.
"Thirty seconds to get across what you do for the world? Bob Bailey's 'Elevator Speech Workshop' helped me pack a lot more meaning into that brief time slot. Bob creates a friendly, supportive atmosphere in which even the most nervous would-be public speaker can make progress.

"Well worth the money. Thank you, CPCUG!"

"I made two very good contacts as a result of having my pitch critiqued during Bob Bailey's Elevator Speech Workshop at the December 2002 CPCUG E&C SIG meeting. One is about to be a client, the other is a very interesting fellow with whom I may have future mutual interests. It was clearly worthwhile participating in the workshop. Bob's a masterful presenter and speaking/presentation coach."

Picture this:

  • You are at a networking event.
  • There's a roundrobin of self-introductions going on.
  • You are next! What do you say?
  • Will you be remembered?
  • Will you get the results, contacts, and action you want?
  • Or will your introduction fade into the background, like so many others?
Who should attend:
  • Anyone who attends networking events to build business.
  • Sales reps who frequently meet new prospects in social situations.
  • Executives who want to promote their companies and products.
  • Anyone who dreads standing up and "saying a few words about yourself."
What you'll learn:
  • How to set yourself apart from others.
  • A step-by-step failsafe approach to creating the introduction.
  • How to get their attention.
  • How to close your introduction and get action.
How you'll profit:
  • You'll feel more comfortable.
  • You'll be remembered.
  • You'll get results from your Elevator Speech.
At this interactive workshop you will give your elevator speech, get immediate feedback, learn techniques to improve your presentation skills, and have an opportunity to rework your speech and present a new and improved version.

Workshop Leader: A former software developer, marketing manager, and sales manager, Bob Bailey has the knowledge and experience to help high-tech business executives reach their goals by delivering polished, focused, powerful presentations. His knowledge of technospeak enables him to help the high-tech speaker translate technical jargon into language that is technically meaningful yet persuasively effective. Bob is outstanding at creating analogies, translating features into benefits, and making it meaningful for the audience.

Bob was the Presentation Coach for the Storyboard Project (cosponsored by Interboard, the Netpreneur Program, and the George Mason University Technology Resource Alliance). He began presenting and coaching in 1978, after founding Washington Whitewater. He has been active in Toastmasters and in the National Capital Speakers Association (NCSA), and is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA). In 1996 Bob was chosen to present at NCSA's Speakers School.

Bob Bailey's company, Message Builders, focuses on entrepreneurs, sales executives, and systems engineers of high-tech companies. Through its workshops on the elevator speech and on communicating your core message, and through its consultation services in presentation development and in killer slide creation, Message Builders helps clients develop and communicate compelling messages.
